Terms of use

Last updated October 4, 2026

The short version

  • Your photos and pages are yours. You let us store and show them so Linkit can work.
  • Share honestly: no scams, no pages that ask for passwords or payments, nothing illegal or harmful.
  • Links last as long as you choose. Keep your own copies of anything important.
  • You can stop using Linkit and delete your account at any time.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Linkit, based in Alberta, Canada (“Linkit”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Linkit website, dashboard and app, and the Linkit connection for ChatGPT and Claude. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information. By using Linkit you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age in your country, to use Linkit. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including what an AI you've connected does in it.

3. What Linkit does

Linkit keeps your photos and videos in a private library and hosts the pages your AI makes, each at its own link, for as long as you choose. We may improve, change or stop parts of Linkit, and we'll give you reasonable notice of changes that take something important away.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, words and pages you add (“your content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process (for example, resize, convert and remove hidden data from files), display and share your content, only as needed to run Linkit: for example, to show a page to people who have its link, and to create its link preview. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept for a limited time in Recently deleted (up to 30 days, unless you empty it sooner), in backups, or where the law requires us to keep them.

You confirm you have the right to share your content, and the permission of anyone who can be identified in it.

5. What's not allowed

Don't use Linkit to:

6. Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report a Linkit page (see how to report a page). We review reports and may remove pages, end links, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you what we did and why.

7. Pages made with AI

Pages are written by the AI you connect, from what you ask for. AI can make mistakes, so check a page before you share it. You're responsible for the pages you publish. Your use of ChatGPT or Claude is also covered by OpenAI's or Anthropic's terms.

8. Plans and payments

Linkit is free to start, with limits on storage and features. A paid plan (Pro) adds more storage and your own videos, when offered. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple to your Apple account. They renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. If your plan ends, your content stays, but Free plan limits apply again: for example, no new uploads past the Free storage limit and no new videos.

9. If you use the iPhone app

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to support it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it (for example, about defects, legal compliance or someone else's intellectual property). If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow Apple's usage rules and any third-party terms that apply.

10. Ending

You can stop using Linkit and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account). We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Sections 4 (for content already shared), 7, 11 and 12 still apply after your account ends.

11. No guarantees

We work hard to keep Linkit running well, but it's provided “as is” and “as available”. We can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that links will never break, so keep your own copies of anything important.

12. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim about Linkit is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement.

13. Changes and the law that applies

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use Linkit after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, except where the law of your country gives you protections that can't be changed.
